Easy Salsa

This was submitted by Jessica Kannes. I would rather make this than buy salsa! It costs less than $5 to make and it makes about double the size of a regular salsa jar you would buy in the store.

Fresh, Easy, Salsa!

10 Plum Tomatoes, seeds removed and chopped (as big or small as you like)
2-4 Cloves of garlic, minced
1 Small onion, chopped (I chop mine pretty fine)
1-2 Jalapenos, finely chopped
2-3 tablespoons minced cilantro
2 tablespoons lime juice
salt and pepper to your liking

Put your chopped onion and garlic in a strainer, pour 2 cups boiling water over them and let drain thoroughly. Discard the water. Let them cool.

Place your tomatoes in a medium bowl. Add the onions and garlic, jalapeno, cilantro, lime juice, salt and pepper. Mix well. Refridgerate for 2-4 hours to blend flavors.

Enjoy with tortilla chips or on your tacos!
